About Natroceutics
Zinc Bioactive
Natroceutics Zinc Bioactive has been developed by combining L-OptiZinc™ - zinc mono-L-methionine, with a chelated copper complex. L-OptiZinc™ delivers zinc in a specialised L-methionine-bound form that demonstrates significantly enhanced bioavailability and antioxidant activity when compared with conventional zinc salts. The addition of a chelated copper complex completes the formula, supporting the coordinated role of zinc and copper in an optimal ratio.
Zinc and copper are essential trace minerals with complementary roles in a wide range of key physiological processes. Zinc supports immune function, antioxidant defence, cellular metabolism, and healthy skin and connective tissue, while copper contributes to antioxidant enzyme systems and connective tissue formation. Their balance becomes particularly relevant with supplementation, as higher of zinc for sustained periods can negatively influence copper absorption over time.
Natroceutics Zinc Bioactive has been developed for those seeking effective daily zinc and copper support with a focus on enhanced absorption and whole-body mineral balance.

How it works
L-OptiZinc™ (zinc mono-L-methionine) is a soluble, well-tolerated form of zinc with superior bioavailability versus conventional zinc salts like zinc sulfate and zinc polysorbate in human absorption studies This results in demonstrably higher circulating zinc and enhanced antioxidant activity, including greater support for the Cu/Zn-superoxide dismutase enzyme system.
A chelated copper complex completes the formula, delivering copper in a soluble, well-tolerated form alongside zinc at a physiologically balanced ratio.
Together, these two forms support an improved absorption profile and deliver the complementary functions of zinc and copper throughout the body.
The presence of zinc and copper naturally occurring in foods, demonstrates the human body’s co-evolved dependence on the functional pairing of these two minerals. With sustained zinc supplementation, however, copper status over time can be reduced. Once absorbed, zinc induces a metal-binding protein with a high affinity for copper that is excreted as cells turn over. This is a well-characterised mechanism that makes copper co-supplementation a considered choice when supplementing meaningful zinc doses. Natroceutics Zinc Bioactive addresses this directly by pairing L-OptiZinc™ with a chelated copper complex.
